Hi all. I have heard rumours that there is a man made mtb track up Craig Fawr in Meliden, Prestatyn. Does anyone know anything about it? Thanks  |

There is a track of sorts but it's only a short (100 meters) stretch from near the top to the bottom. Nothing to get excited about and built by the local yoof so they could rag down it on their mountain bikes.
I've been down it a few times (a couple of years ago in the summer), but it was part of a loop I as doing from home (Prestatyn area). I wouldn't bother in this weather as it's going to be a mud bath and definitely wouldn't go out of my way just to ride down it. If I can find them, I'll dig out a couple of pictures.
I do believe that there is a (short) mtb trail being built at Marsh Tracks though, but not sure when it will be completed. If you're from the Prestatyn area you can ride on the Marion Mills bridlepath by Dyserth, or join one of the girl's rides that get posted up.

Thanks Yeah I live in Prestatyn, but don't think I will go out my way to look for this one then going off what u have said. I think the Marsh tracks one is completed but isn't very long, will go have a look one day though. Thanks for replying though, hoping to get out on a ride with you all soon but I'm going away for a couple of weeks (as of next week) so will check out what rides are happening when I get back |

Yep, the marsh tracks mtb course is complete, there are 4 differant loops and they are quite fun, but obviously are short, worth a look in if your on a ride passing by though |
