I currently ride a Apollo thing from halfords i thought was a good bike beacasue it was a full suspension and had disc breaks as i was new to mountain biking, it may of been a good thing not knowing if i would love it and inevitably i did! ive had this for about a year now and want to upgrade to a better bike with preferably hydraulic discs and a bit more travel up front, and i am wondering what i should get im going to go second hand because i don't have the money to buy new. Any ideas?

i mainly ride trails like the Marin and penmachno i guess it could be called cross country? or xc? that's my problem my budget is nothing i am saving up at the mo.
I was looking at pinkbike and there is a giant trance x3 in wrexham for £150 which i would love but it will be start of summer before i get the money, thanks guys.
