The second stage of the Tour of Britain will finish in my home town of Llandudno on Monday 8th of September. I have managed to keep the day free and so hope to see it. I shall probably watch the riders on the Great Orme then follow the to the finish line on the prom. However, I am going to see if it will be feasible to first cycle out to see them at the point near Betws yn Rhos where the tour will pass (junction of the B5381 and A548); before getting back to the Orme.
Let me know if you are heading over to Llandudno to see the tour. I live in Craig y Don, on the East side of Llandudno. The roads and parking will probably be chaos in town, but should be fine here if you need to drive. I can send directions if you want.

I'm on nights on that day, so am hoping to get over to see it as I missed last year's What time are you planning on getting to the Betws Yn Rhos junction ? I could meet you there and cycle with you to Llandudno for the finish before riding home.

According to the published timetable, the riders should be at the Betws Yn Rhos junction between 13:38 and 14:18. I will aim to be there by 13:15. The riders have to make a 90 deg turn at the junction, so could be a good place to watch the action.
We will have a minimum of 1 hour to get back to Llandudno. Shortest route is 12.5 miles, so that should be achievable, but does not leave much to spare. I will probably do this, unless the weather is particularly poor.

The tour is here tomorrow. I shall be setting off from Llandudno at 12:15 to meet Tarbo at the junction of the B5381 and A548 near Betws yn Rhos by 13:15. Will watch the riders go by then head back to Llanaudno. Will go via Dolwen and Old Colwyn, which is the shortest route but does have a bit of climbing. I rode that route the other day and it took me 45 minutes, so plenty of the time to get onto Marine Drive around the Orme.
Will look out for you Smithy on the Orme. Any idea where you may be?
