Hello all,
I have recently returned to mountain biking after a 12year break having stepped over to do a bit of touring and a larger amount if student drinking. Now I just need to get fit again!
I have recently moved back to Wales and now live in Denbigh and have been riding up at Llandegla and the Clwyds, although I much prefer the Clwyds and that style of XC riding. I have also been trying to get as many evening rides in as possible up at the Brenig.
How many other people are based around this area? I'd be keen to get to meet some of you and get a few rides in whenever possible. My wife is also a keen mountain biker and dragged me up to Glenlivet for a week of mountain biking and similarly wouldn't mind getting to know a few fellow MTB'ers in the area.

Hi Matt, Welcome to the forum There are a few of us from around that area, I'm in Prestatyn, there's a few from St. Asaph so you're not alone. Most of our riding is XC as opposed to trail centres, although we do start a number of rides from The Marin Trail before diverting off onto the natural stuff. Conway Mountain is also an excellent place for XC riding, but best done with someone that knows the area. We're probably out around the Clwyds next Tuesday if you fancy getting out, the ride information will be posted in the 'Plan Your Rides' section of the forum. Hopefully see you out soon

Brilliant!
Thanks for the response Tarbo. I've never done any riding up Conwy Mountain, only a bit of walking and used to have the Sychnant Pass on part of my road route when I was in Uni.
I will keep an eye out for next Tuesday though!
