My freehub failed on the last ride we did at Innerleithen. Just tried to strip it down to have a look but it seems to be seized onto the axle. Had a look on the hope web site at the pro 2 strip down procedure but it's not happening. The freehub body won't budge Any suggestions?

Sorry mate I don't know how the hope hub is built up?
The shimano free hub is held on with a hollow bolt threaded into the hub through the free hub body. You need to insert a 10mm allen key in through the free hub to get it off. I don't know if this has any resemblence to the hope?
I'm sure if you take it into your LBS they will advise you on how to get it off.

Thanks for the replies. Managed to get it apart in the end. Spoke to Llandegla about it. It's around two years old. All that holds the entire thing together is o-rings and pressure on the axle off the bearings. It's just meant to pull apart. I had to drift the whole axle out from the non drive side which brings the free hub out with it. You can then get the free hub off separately. Be careful though the axles soft alloy Just ordered a 10mm through axle off chain. Slipped with the hammer

Every Hope rear hub I've had, the first bearings to go have always been the freehub one nearest to the hub, I've had to lever freehubs off with a pair of screwdrivers before now.
Big tip for fitting the new bearings is leave the new ones in the freezer overnight then heat up the hub with some hot water then the new bearings will fit in a lot easier.
