Hi guys and gals, I'm thinking of getting a full suspension mountain bike and not sure what brand / model is best for the money! It's to be used on local trails, Llandegla and Penmachno. I've seen Cannondale Trigger 4 29 on Paul Cycles for 1600 and wonder if this is any good or to look at Canyon, Cube, Scott or Giant.
Any advice will be gratefully received.

Hi Myko,
Personally I would recommend Canyon for quality and value for money, I have my second Canyon on order as I have been that impressed with them, just make sure you measure properly to get the right sized frame.
Cannondale have been in the game since day one, they have some very well spec'd bikes for the money, the good thing is you can go along to ALf's etc and actually sit on it first unlike Canyon.
Really it boils down to how happy you are about servicing the bike yourself, if you are hands off then use one of the local bikes shops, Tweeks, ALf's and 1886 @ Llanrwst who stock the brands you have mentioned. All are very friendly and we have had great service from them over the years, they will size the bike correctly and service it for you to keep it running properly.
If however you are happy to get your hands dirty, then the Canyons are superb bikes and the savings are huge.

Thank you for your advice Dan, may I ask how long they take to dispatch? Do you know what their warranty period is on the frame?

Hi no problem, it depends on the model you order, there is an availability checker on the page of the bike you are looking at, mine is a 6 week wait but is a popular model and size, warranty period on the trail bike frames is 6 years.

Thank you Dan for the info on the Canyons. Looking at them online and they look awesome, I just don't think I can wait that long :s I've just ordered a Jekyll 4 2015 oh and ordered a dropper post! It may make my MTBiking a tad more elegant BUT I wouldn't put money on it!
