i did the short route, 50 miles, that ended up 52, heavy rain and gale-force winds, pretty much most of them miles, one way or the other!
need better more, water proof gloves! 4 hours 45 min, nursing a bad left knee ( cartilage issue)

I read on the interweb that of the 3,000 entries only 700 people actually rode it. Can't really say I blame them as the forecast was for torrential rain and gales, and from the reports and pictures I've seen it looks like it was even worse than that on the day :-\
