Jeff, The weather was mint There are not many days in the year when the weather is perfect for the ride / push up to the top, but today was one of them. I'll post up some pictures and a more detailed report later if no-one else beats me to it.

As Tarbo and Gixer have said, the weather was spot on and you won't get many days in the year like it. Clear sky, warm and little wind even at the top. Excellent views from the top for a change and no grief from any walkers.

Well, what more can really be said..... As I was driving along the A55 at 08.30 with both my front and rear fog lights on, my mind was not on the climb up Snowdon, but where could we ride as an alternative. As I took the turning off the roundabout just outside of Bangor, the fog lifted and staring me in the face was the most glorious day of the year so far. All of a sudden I knew there would be no need for an alternative Once we were all ready we started the long climb. For those who have not ridden up there before, it starts with a bitch of a tarmac climb for about quarter of a mile before hitting the trail proper. Then it's a mix of riding and a small amount carrying for the remainder of the ascent. Or as Gareth would say - push, push, push Once at the top, we had a quick bite to eat and padded up ready for the descent. And what a descent it was Lots of loose rocks, lots of steep switchback and lots of fun. You could tell by the smile on everyone's faces that they enjoyed it. Then it was time to push again as we climbed up to the top of Telegraph Valley or Puncture Alley as Simon was soon to find out Anyway, eventually he'd fixed he three punctures he got within a 500 yard stretch, we made our way to Pete's Eats for some food and a cuppa before we all went our separate ways. All in all a great day, one that will be hard to beat for weather and conditions. No hassle from any of the walkers on the way up and lots of banter all the way up and down. No injuries, although there were a few 'controlled dismounts' on the way down, especially one from Simon that I was lucky enough to get on film But nothing to dampen anyone's spirits. here are the pictures I took so you can all see what you missed as you will not get days as good as this on Snowdon very often in the year

It was a great day guys, even tho we didn't ride with you, the descent was worth the climb, the weather as said was amazing, like tarbo, when I was driving from Birmingham I was making other plans due to the fog, but glad we stuck with it when we turned into llanberis the sun was shining, even getting sunburnt! Try and ride with you guys this summer when I pass Gareth's fitness test lol

Thanks to everyone for a cracking day even though the ride & push up was torture - especially in the heat! But the Ranger's descent more than made up for it - it's a great natural track. Thanks to Tarbo for taking the photos too, and capturing my dribble! And also to Chris and Tony for lending me 2 tubes and saving me a long walk back down Telegraph Valley.
