For what seemed the first time this year we were blessed with wall to wall sunshine on one of our evening rides, and boy did it make a difference. Dry trails, gorgeous views and none of this head down lark trying to keep the rain and wind out of your face. Even the shorts were out We done out 'normal' route consisting of 15 miles, which took us about 2 hours, which is just about enough after a day in work. Lots of big climbs and massive descents, just as you'd expect, but there's something about riding in the sunshine that just makes everything seem better. Nice of Tony to join us for his first venture around the area, and he was suitably impressed with what was on offer, even if he did suffer the only mechanical of the ride. No more evening rides for me for a couple of weeks as I'm on nights, but I'm sure Simon and Gareth will still be out, so if you're missing your fix, why not get some summer sun while you still can Some photos to try and get you armchair riders out into the countryside -
