To be honest it felt like I was riding in Mordor!! Been wanting to sniff out the old mining tracks up there for some time now and today I put it to bed Parked the motor on the Machlyn road and made my way up the tarmac and onto the track at the top of the quarry. the views were simply immense. The views towards Snowdon, looking down at Llanberis and Llyn Padarn and as the wind was blowing from the south I even had the sound of the first steam train going up Snowdon. Its a long way down!! The going was a bit dicey in places and that slate is well sharp!! Luckily my tyres survived but my knee didn't!! No off's but I caught it on a piece sticking out, bulls eye on the centre of the knee If you like the pics then check out the video:
