can anyone help with choosing a bike gps unit? Am after one i can upload map data on to so i can follow routes..ive been looking at the etrek 20 & 30 does anyone on here have either or something along those lines? Thanks...

I've been using the etrex 30 this year. I haven't used it to its capabilities but for uploading a route to it and following the 'blue' line, its pretty good. You do have to buy the OS maps for it though. And I'm trying for the life of me remember where on the net I bought mine from. If I find out I'll put it up....

Also have a look at the Memory Map A2800 which also uses OS maps, very good with 1.25000 maps. Memory Map also goes on your pc & you can transfer routes both ways. Got mine off ebay.

got the dakota 20 in the end seems ok will have to try it out on the llyn cowlyd loop at the weekend
