What gloves do all of you wear this time of year.
Noticed my finger tips getting a little cold on Sat but I was wearing summer gloves.
Cheers

Picked up a pair of endura deluge a couple of weeks ago, used them when it was zero degrees for a couple of hours and didnt feel any cold, supposed to be waterproof as well but not been out in the rain since i got them. They were reviewed in what mountain bike last month. They are around £34 but some on line shops are selling them for £24 upwards

I always use full fingered gloves, and for summer Ive got some specialized ones that are quite comfy. I have always had spesh gloves, I cant fault them. For winter riding Ive got these, Endura strike www.wiggle.co.uk/p/Cycle/7/Endura_Strike_Winter_Gloves/5360020533/I had a bad do with the 1st pair, of these, not waterproof at all, but the replacement pair have been brilliant, warm dry and comfy with a good grip.

I went for the strike at first cos i tried some and liked the fit and features, i asked a certain bike shop to sort me some out but they let me down twice after me travelling back and to quite a lot of miles to them on both occasions, so i picked the deluge up, the deluge is new for 09, cant see much difference between them and the strike apart from a double cuff

Dont you just love shops like that!
I think the strike could do with a slightly longer cuff, appart from that more than happy.

I have to have xl in endura gloves and the strike were a good fit but the deluge cuff has an inner that comes about 1.25" further down the wrist, will have to see how they perform in the wet. They can be seen on www.endura.co.uk

were they a thick pair of gloves? the strike are thicker than a normal summer glove. It could be worth spending a couple of quid extra 2 get the waterproof ones.

looking at them they look just as thick as the strike. ok being windproof but if they get wet they will be wet all day.
Ive got some seal skin windproof gloves that are similar whitch I used for biking, once they were wet they took ages to dry.

I tried the dexters, think you would do better with the strike, dont think they are waterproof, ive got some polaris windproof gloves which might as well be fingerless when its frosty, although they were very tight fitting which didnt help. Dont think you will beat the strike or deluge for winter.

I find Endura kit to be a little short on durability to be honest. I use Pearl Izumi Gavia waterproof gloves. They're nice and thin and made of a softshell type material with grippers on the fingers, feel like summer gloves in use but with 100% protection from the elements. Hands were warm even at -3 on the top of a mountain in Glentress. £20 from wiggle. ;D

I always seem to burst the stitching! Maybe I've just been unlucky mate but I didn't half see my arse when my £150 stealth softshell fell apart. Got a refund and now ride in a £15 Lidl jobbie. ;D
