I have just bought a set of medium rise easton ea50s and the are a lot wider that the old bars. The bike felt completely different on the Marin last night. Felt a lot more control on the down hill and more comfortable on the uphill. Well happy. ;D

I agree mate, Wider bars do give more control. Did you get ones with a slight back sweep to. I changed to the EA70 monkey lites and they are a fantastic bar and light to.
