Headed to our local ride/dig spot today, thought we'd treat ourselve and actually ride this time, instead of digging all day I had people round for lunch, so had to leave early, hence not many pics of me, but was still nice to be just riding, especially the stuff we've built but had'nt ridden much at all. Loz got a new flash for christmas, so he was keen to try it out Oh, and I love my new bike Riders; Loz (green bighit), Tom (silver Bullit), Chris (blue Ruckus), me (red Solid) 1. Little stepdown into berm. 2. Rockdrop 3. Jump into berm (built this last week) 4. Same as above 5. Berm after above jump 6. Drop thing 7. Little hip 8. Berm 9. Roadgap 10. Lil berm 11. Yay for crashing into trees 12. Manual across rockgarden 13. Berm 14. Little kicker (love this shot) 15. My bike Few more here: cubed-square-photography.pinkbike.com/album/DH-FR/Duane

Duane, The ride and the pics look fantastic, though I tend to be nervous when I'm more than a few inches off terra firma, :oI'd be interested to know if I could go and try to ride any of it. Is that possible or is it private land? It looks a bit like up the back of Rhyd y Foel but I don't think it is.

'Fraid its on private land (owned by a mate who rides), so people only really go up there if they know the lad and have his permission, so wouldnt really be right to give out directions Sorry. Plus, to be honest, if you dont like getting air, not sure you'd enjoy it that much, as you'd be stopping every 15ft to go round a jump/drop.

Thought so mate no problem. It's not that I don't like airtime, it's lack of technique and no one to show me how to do it ! I'm always amazed how high you guys get and can't understand how you can possibly land em. Every time I try I end up in a heap, then these young sprogs come along and sail over stuff like they've got wings! Perhaps I try too hard. Who knows.

You need to get up to the old mill/quarry building above Trefriw. Some great jumps of all varieties to learn on.

There were loads of arcane scribblings, signs in chalk, and a buzzard's wing in a stone circle last time i was up there . Some serious voodoo sh*t man, wasn't you trying to exorcise your lycra demons was it Dan

Lycra demons are to be embraced not excorcised mate. Buzzard's wing sounds dodgy though!

The only wings Dan has is from the RedBull he must have in his camelbak instead of water. ;D Something gives him wings .
