Between World's End & Trevor Rocks anyone ridden here? There's not much marked on the map, but I know there are trails on the ground.

I haven't, but wasn't there a forum ride around there a while back?
On the other side of Ponderosa there's some bridleways, some of which have bike signposts on them but they seem a bit hit and miss. Denbighshire CC have put them up so I'm on the lookout for a route map of the area! It might be similar on the World's End side of the valley.

I think the forum ride was just the descent from the masts to the road & back in the forest - not sure, I didn't go. I've done a couple of rides West of the Ponderosa. up the first climb & then down towards, & then around Berwyn Quarry, then back up towards Llandegla. MBR did a killer loop a while back but had to stick to the strictly legal tracks etc. but were giving massive hints that there's plenty of decent bits to be had. Have a look on google earth.

Those were my local trails before i moved to mid wales,if you follow the route from the masts down to road at worlds end then turn right at the road and shoot of left just before the cattle grid this will take you up and around the forest at worlds end, youcan bear left off the main track and this will take you accross the top of the cliffs accross some good trails towards the rock quarries by the castle above llangollen - some good riding to be had there. You could probably add another hour and a half to your routes. I used to ride from Penycae which is the other side of the mountain then up over the tops and across the railway sleepers to llandegla, do a loop then up to the masts and back down to worlds end. I could then ride back over the mountain across the moors down to Rhos and home.

cheers for that, will go have an explore. I've done the first bit you mention but dropped down & went along the path beneath the cliffs. will try along the top. looks like there's tracks further in from the cliff edge, so should be able to make some sort of loop out of it.
also wondered about the bits over Ruabon? mountain you mention. will check them out also. looks like I'll have to have a whole ride dedicated to getting lost, turning back etc.

there are basically 2 routes over ruabon mountain to the rhos side, both are footpaths and are accessable from the back of worlds end forest.- might be a littke tricky to find but are both worth riding for sure and are shown on the relavent os maps. The tracks further in from the cliffs i mentioned are a lot more interesting to ride to - big rolling whoops, rock, bogs and nice sheep trails.Your'ne never actually that far from the cliffs or the road so you can't really get lost up there.
