Has anyone booked to go on any of the short bike maintenance courses at One Planet Adventure? I'm booked on the gears one on the 28th with Hugzee.

I saw the courses advertised in there last time I was in. I didn't book but they sound decent value, plus you can choose what areas you want to cover.

Punk did the bike maintenance course at LDG - said it was pretty good - although I still assist him with changing his brake pads ;D I think from what he said it covered some good general maint stuff and checking your bike is safe etc - not too indepth. I will be seeing him tomorrow night at a snooker match so I will ask him what was covered etc and post up what he thought.

OPA have split maintenance down into three 'bite-size chunks' 1. Bike Check, Wheel Removal & Replace, Tyre Removal and Puncture Repair 2. Chain Repair, Gears and Cable Replacement. 3. Headset - Adjustment, Strip Down Service & Replacement. Bottom Bracket & Cranks - Removal and Refit. Courses are 3 hours, 5:30-8:30 on Wednesday evenings and they're £20. As Caz says we're booked on course 2

How do they work the course? Do you strip down your own bike, or do they have a demo bike you all stand round and have a mess with?
