Hi guys
Does anyone know if the Hope 180mm and 160mm 6-bolt floating discs are compatible with Avid juicy 5's.
Are there any "better" discs than the standard avid ones just trying to add a few touches to personalize the trek.
Cheers
Ash

If your avid rotors are 180 and 160 there shouldnt be a problem if they are different then you will need new mounts.

The tabs on the pads will catch if you go for the floating rotors. You can cut them off, but might make it a pain to remove them in the future.
Only the 160mm and 203mm discs will work. Avid use 185mm rotors compared to Hope's 180mm.

Thanks Sikora, i'm glad you mentioned that just realised it's 185mm so only 203 will work!
Thanks again

I fitted Hope floating rotas with Hayes brakes and they did catch I had to modify the calipers and the brake pad tabs had to be bent slightly. They worked really well. Then I bought a set of Hope mini brakes off Marco on this site and they are fantastic with the floating rotas. If you have the money change the lot Hope brakes are the way to go
