Is there a thread on Afan somewhere? I had a look but couldn't see it I know it's not in North Wales but some people make the trip all the way down, it's only my list of places to go to one day soon. Just spotted this on BBC News news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/south_west/7855929.stm34,000 riders in a year is a fair few. I wonder who had the job of counting them all ;D

I want to get down to Afan, reading the article I noticed this comment "Many are in there 20s, in fairly well paid jobs. Hopefully we will see even more." You know what that means eh? Hiked car park prices and killer prices in the cafe if there is one ;D Usual trail centre stuff

Check out www.glyncorrwgponds.com. Afan and Glyncorrwg are only a mile or two from each other. All trail info for both trail centres are on this website. Have fun its a great place.

I went down to afan over xmas and rode the skyline and white levels trail. When we were down there car park ticket machine wasnt working so free parking and the cafe is possibly the best i have ever been to, very close to Llandelga standard, really high quality cheap food and they also had a huge beer fridge and table full of spirits for a check post ride beverage. We worth the visit if your going down for the weekend.
Found the trails to be awesome too road with a load of racers so got a bit of a spanking but the first climb is really flowing you dont realise how quick you have gained height. Very little fire road too.

I've ridden a couple of the trails at Afan, White's level is one of the best trails i've ridden, especially if you include the optional black run. The campsite at Glyncorwugg is really nice and friendly aswell, although the big "Warning, thieves operate in this area" sign is a bit off-putting.

I've ridden all four trails at Afan and the final descent on 'The Wall' is not to be missed. I went there for a week and stayed in the Bryn Bettws log cabins at the top of the final descent, it rates as one of my best holidays ever ;D ;D
