IMO the Rangers Path is one of, if not the, best descent in Britain. It's got everything, steep technical sections, drop offs, fast open sections with loose sweeping curves to get a bit of drift going, stunning views to look at if you can drag your eyes from the trail and to top it all off it's usually much quieter than the Llanberis path meaning you can pretty much get an uninterupted run if you want.

it's definately worth the slogg up. as i live nearly at the bottom i get to ride it quite regularly.
but between 10 and 5 april to oct no riding allowed.
we statrt pushing up (which is walking) about 3.30. usually takes 1.5 to 2hrs. chill on top for a bit then head down.
summer hols it's pointless as you can't open up as there are so many people there. sept/ oct are great times to go as it's much quieter.
any one who's planning to go up and doesn't minde me tagging along get in contact.
