hi im phil the brother of gav182, just gettin in mtb again an enjoying it but scared as hell of fallin off, is that natural or am i being a big girls blouse? slowly gettin quicker down hills jus need confidence i think(its been 8 years) looking forward to the rides ahead an will no doubt see a few of you passing me, lol

Hi Phil, welcome to the forum, good to have you here. Every ride out builds your confidence, so its just getting out and practicing. Falling off's brilliant if it doesn't hurt, I wet over the bars yesterday, it was on grass, so didn't hurt as much as a tree! nowt wrong with being scared of falling off, I don't like falling off, but like I said once you have crashed and you have made sure your bikes OK before yourself, you cant help but laugh at it!! If you do crash don't forget to get a pic in the 'warwounds'! Any probs mate give me or Oggy a shout and we will try and help you out. Martin  |
