Thanks for the welcome Martin.
You can thank 'flattyres Col' for the recommendation. I work with him and he metioned the forum this morning. Said you seemed like a good bunch, so I thought I'd sign up.
I started working with Col the summer before last and, me being a keen motorcyclist on and off road, he soon got me into mtb'ing. I admit, I'm very much a newbie but I'm keen to get stuck in. I started on a bottom end Specialized Hardrock, but soon upgraded to a Kona Lisa (ladies Caldera I think). Being farely new, it's standard for now, apart from Kona flats.. spd's scare me at the moment!
I've only really been frequenting Llandegla and Delamere up to now, working on my cycling muscles and confidence but there's only so much of the same you can take!.. hopefully this year I can dust off the map and get out more.
Looking forward to this year's riding and hopefully I'll be ready to join you on a forum ride soon.
Ange ;D

Just posted in the rides section, but thought I'd put the same thing here.. as it's for newbies...
Any advice on good trails for the likes of me? I'm thinking about giving Penmachno a try. Any thoughts or recommendations?
Cheers Ange ;D

Penmachno's a great trail, pretty challenging for a newbie but well worth it! Don't let all the injuries in the 'War Wounds' section put you off Having done it a fair few times, to me it somehow always feels longer than it is. Check out the Marin as well, a brilliant trail and reasonably beginner-friendly i'd say. Have fun, see you on the trails
