know it well, did the Whinlatter Challenge event there yesterday and it nearly killed me......cracking scenery and a great day out in the lakes if anyone fancies it!

not surprised it nearly killed you .... but the views and descents r worth all that sloggy uphill. its great at the mo, as doesnt seem very used ... but they may change as it gets warmer

Im looking forward to riding it even more now, Im going up this thursday for a few days with the family but taking my bike so hoping to ride whinlatter & grizedale (Northface trail) will take my camera for some tidy pics hopefully.

Im in a cottage at winlatter, if thats how you say it? Walking Scafel tomorrow and then hoping to do a trail on Fri, not too sure which yet though.

Im Staying in the coniston area but whinlatter is about 40 mins drive. Grizedale is about 15 mins for me. Was Planning to ride friday & sunday. Doing one centre each day. Wats all this walking lark? ?

I ended up in Keswick for a few days with the girl friend and in laws. When they suggested a walk around derwent water I was quick to steal the car, get a hire bike and get up there. Absolutely fantastic, designed so that the big down hills pretty much end up in the car park.
Personally the South loop was my favourite of the two, super smooth jumps, wonderful! Its quite easy to link up the end and start for another go!
Gave me the same buzz as my first (and only up to yet) time at Glentress.
