I robbed the wording and pics from the MBNW website main page and knocked up a small advert, which is now on as many notice boards as i could find within HBOS - MBNW AdvertPrint it off and do the same! ;D |

Just a quick question about promoting MBNW, i have just done numerous searches on google typing the following,
Mountain Bike(ing) North wales
Mountain Bike(ing) North wales forum
Not one comes up with MBNW website afer 8 pages so are we missing something here?? the only time MBNW shows up and is number 1 in the UK search and on the second page in a world wide search is if i type MBNW. Obviously some people may not know the name of the site so is there any way of rectifying this so it shows up in the search engines?

Rob u are right there mate nice 1.
Im looking in to it at the moment but i think its just a case of entering the mbnw url in to the goggle url machine along with some key words, i think the more i do it the higer we should get.
Im no expert so if anyone knows how we can get to number 1 in the searchs please let us no.

I've just looked at the source code for the Homepage and there are no Meta Tags or Keywords included in the coding of the page. Search engines use these to locate the pages with those words included in the search. The MBNW page will be difficult to find without them.

You also need a separate file that search engine robots can search through.
