I bought my new Cannondale Rush 4 Carbon about 2 and a half months ago and already i'm having problems with the front and rear suspension. The bushes have gone on the rear suss and Alf Jones say even after only 2 months of riding it's unlikely Fox will replace for free. However, it's only around £20 for some new ones so i'm not too fussed about that.. BUT ....... On riding around Llandegla lastnight i noticed a knocking on every compression and a sort of whistling/wheezing sound coming from the forks!!!.. They weren't locked out and i'v only ridden around Llandegla and once out over the scree run with them up to now so they haven't taken any big hits anywhere.. Has anybody else had or heard of this problem?
Cheers.
Michael

Well.. it's official.. My forks are fooked already!!... Need to send them off to Mojo for repair.. Luckily they are still within the 90 day period for seals, which i think is what's gone so should be no probs getting them done... A week and a half without a bike, 2 weeks before an enduro is not good though!!

bad luck mate. You'd expect better than that from fox really. How much will a repair cost?

2 weeks off the bike?? Are you having a laugh mojo have 90% of there repairs etc done in a matter of hours. I had a problem not long ago wore the stantions out because i didnt service the wiper seals every 15hours riding ended up costing me £280 which is not great as a student. But mojo replaced the entire uppers of the fork and had them back to me in 48hours. Fox are definatly the best by a long way for performance but in terms of durability they do need the care and attention so make sure you look after them.

Was just taking into account, stripping the forks off my bike and taking into Alfies who probs wont send off until after Bank Hols and then the work time and return post.... Had a pair of Maguran Menja's previously for over a year and never serviced them once right up until i had the new bike and they still ran sweet.... Ah well... see what happens..

hi, just did a search on cannondale issues, and your post cropped up. i've got a prophet 1000 SL and the front headshock is leaking air, so during a ride it completely bottoms out. It's the lefty speed 110 DLR 2. how did you sort the issue out in the end, as just finding info on the internet is proving quite difficult. my husband was hoping to fix the problem himself but there seems to be an issue getting hold of tools. hope you can help.

If its under warranty I'd just take it back to the place you bought it from. Otherwise I think TFTuned service cannondale forks, might be worth pulling it off your bike and sending it to them to service/look at.

Rebound not full on is it? I have seen it happen lots of times on Fox forks and full on will give the exact symptoms you describe. Turn the rebound dial fully anti clockwise counting the cliks most likely it will be 12 plus. Try it at about middle of the range say about 7 or 8 cliks in from the fully anti clockwise position.

Oops read the top post and not the bottom post. Cannondale Lefties usually require regular TLC I'm not at my PC at the moment but tomorrow I should be able to dig out some links and hints on working on Lefties for you.

thanks, that would be really helpful. someone has told us that the reason for air leaking could be quite a simple fix and not require the entire fork being taken apart, which would save us a lot of time and money.

Simple thing to check is the air valve core. I know on the Headshok forks it was a common problem.
