Boring! Far too much time riding up fire roads just to go back down another the otherside, all the technical sections are very short, the end bit is quite good. My advice is just cut to the end section from the cross roads at post ten

I like the Marin, I think it has some good sections on it, although there is a lot of fire road all the descending is done on single track. Its also a fairly sheltered ride for winter riding

all of the decending is not done on singletrack, there are two very long decents on fire roads and certain sections you cant even ride on?!

Think you've taken a wrong turn coz almost all the descending is done on single track and there are no sections that you carnt ride.

maybe, but the woman in bikes betwys said it had been recently rerouted and a lot of people were cutting out the back section as its boring, i just followed the blue posts. I think i will do it again to give it a fair go, we just didnt enjoy it as much as llandegla

Granted it will never be as good as Llandegla but it is a different type of trail. Theres been lots of tree felling in the forest which has meant that certain parts have been diverted, i always ride in the evening or on the weekend so have ignored the diversions and done the proper route (no felling in the evening or on the weekend. The Felling in the Forest has left the trail a right mess and no one seems to be sorting it out. The whole Marin trail is a bit of a mess and hasn't been looked after at all. The pay and display machine in the car park hasn't worked for gods knows how long which suggests that the Marin has been left to root I wouldn't mind paying to park if the trail was maintained

I went round a couple weeks a go look like they had been tiding things up a bit also the pay & display machine was working.
Must say it still very rough in many places now and needs alot of work doing but still a class trail.

Yeah my bike ony has 4" of front and rear travel so the mbr I did last week was quite interesting before the air in my rear shock blew out.
I'm not keen on super smooth tracks anyway but CyB is certainly technically challenging, for me anyway.
