When the weather's good like it has been recently I tend to use a dry lube on my chain. I've used Finish Line Red up until now but I've just gone to buy some more and found it now costs a whopping £7 for a bottle (last time I bought some I'm sure it was a lot less, about £5).
I know oil prices went up, but they've gone down again now so I'm not sure why it keeps going up in price. The wet (green) version seems to have stayed at the same price!
Can anyone recommend any alternative brands or somewhere that sells the stuff a bit cheaper?

I use a Pedro's dry wax lube for the dry conditions and finish line wet lube for the winter.
I bought the dry lube before I left Cyprus because it was just the treat out there in the dry and thought it would be good at home. No good in the wet obviously.
The wet lube is sticky stuff but keeps the water out.
I tend to take my time and apply drops of lube on every link rather than spin the chain and whack it on. Find it goes further like that.

I use WD40. Does the trick for me on all my bikes. Best bit is that it doesn't go all claggy and form a grinding paste on your drivetrain and it just washes off at the merest hint of degreaser. £2.99 and it'll last ages. ;D
