Personally its a lbs job unless you have access to the proper tools. Nonsense man, a couple a pieces of wood, a screwdriver and a hammer is all you need. Piece of piss to a man of your caliber Ady. ;D

You might be pushing it to get it sorted by Sunday, if its not that bad I'd be tempted to drop it out, clean it up the best you can, grease the fooker up well and use it on Sunday. Then you will have plenty of time to get your new one pressed propperly.

Piece of piss to a man of your caliber Ady. ;D A certain LBS never used to have a headset press, blocks of wood were standard issue, not sure if they have one now. Never had any probs 2 blocks of wood, a screwdriver, a hammer and a bench get my vote

Well what drama, I took my bike to Litespeed to get the Headset done but they could not get rid of the play in the bearing seated on the fork no matter what he tried so they ended up giving me their Trek EX 9 to take so I can ride the Dyfi fair do's. So I have the Bonti tyres to change before the race so I have borrowed Sis Kenda Navgals as they will have more grip.
