Does anyone knoew if it is possible to top up the brake fluid in a set of avids? I had the rear one bled about 2 weeks ago, changed the pads and now I have hardly any stopping power to the back. The front aint much better so I suspect I will be leaving more blood behind on Saturday to appease the Penmachno Spirit Lords...

There's a little grub screw in the lever that lets you 'tighten' them up, if the fluid level is too low.

Ahhh. There's something about it you stick your bike upside down then all the air gets to the wrong place in the hydraulics or something. That might be what's happened. The dude in Alf Jones was explaining it to me but I didn't quite know what he meant, but I'm sure he said if you leave it right way up it will eventually sort itself out.... or you can take it to them for a bleed Someone who knows better will be able to explain better. Do you have the clips to go in your calipers when you take your wheels out?

Although I was told (Alf Jones) there is always supposed to be a little bit of air in the line so you get a bit of give in the brake lever. Seriously!!! It's amazing that people that stupid can survive in the modern world! ;D

I've just compared mine to a set of reasonably well set up juicy 5s and I think I will be ordering a bleed kit

Another 'plus' for bikes direct in holywell. Seems that the brakes didn't need bleeding, just fixing after I 'fixed' them last week ;D
An ayrton for both brakes, now I'm good to go to the Marin tomoz, may even be a little willy wave from me ;D
