I bought some gold blanking bolts for my old forks which have had the V brake mounts removed (now has disc brakes) I bought a pair of the 10mm Hope hose guides but they won't fit. The V brake bosses are definitely 10mm (same diameter as the Hope bolts) but the thread pitch is different which I think is why they don't fit. They've fitted perfectly in the back but gold plugs in a silver frame look a bit crap Has anyone else had this problem? I thought thread pitches were all the same on bikes nowadays....

If you look at the reviews in pivot bolts and blankers on chainreaction cycles website, there are a few people saying the hope has a different thread pitch and wont fit their bikes or forks. hope this helps.

Deliberate? ;D Glad to see it's not just me then. I've emailled Hope like Martin suggested to ask if they have a solution. Don't fancy retapping my forks just for some of those.
