Made it up to the lakes, got out the car and straight onto the Altura. What a wicked trail! Managed two offs one on a muddy uphill climb and the second on a FLAT rock garden smashed me knee there. Would'nt mind but been laughing my head off at this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gIs0vmteeMw then I go do the same thing! ;D The trail was really quiet, though the cafe was packed, top food there. In all i found the trail fantastic, hairy in places, but did it! Just shame I smashed my knee, didnt make it to the north face trail after all. Cant remember taking this: The first fall, up over a flippin root!: Straight in mud: My knee: What did it!: Shattered!

I did, just about managed it, knee killed though after falling on it. Go Ape was really busy and the cafe, trail pretty quiet handful of people passed me and thats all, lucky really, think the very good weather was on my side though, it was midday when I hit the trail and really hot!
