I'd like to get my trusty steed insured. Can anyone recommend a company?
I'd like accidental damage cover - hence why i don't just add it to my house insurance (That reminds me, need to get a new quote for that too)
Do any companies offer cover while the bike is on the back of the car - whether its stolen or damaged in an accident?
Most companies out there are offering similar quotes, but i don't know what each is like when coming to claim. Anyone have an experiances with certain companies?

I've got mine with Cycleguard. Reasonable premiums and good cover.

I've heard bad things about Cycleguard, but then thats usually the case with any insurer: You hear 10 bad stories to every good one.

Question: Insurers are asking if my house has a 5 bar mortice lock fitted on the door. Is a conservatory door a "5 bar mortice lock"?

Question: Insurers are asking if my house has a 5 bar mortice lock fitted on the door. Is a conservatory door a "5 bar mortice lock"? Usually if they're pretty new uPVC doors, then yes. The best thing is to look on the face of the lock to see if it complies to BS3621 and if it does, this will usually suffice.

Would never of thought of you as a lock nerd No BS numbers written anywhere, but when i lift the handle up, a few bars stick out, and a few little round things slide up

Would never of thought of you as a lock nerd No BS numbers written anywhere, but when i lift the handle up, a few bars stick out, and a few little round things slide up ;D ;D Sounds like a five lever mortice dead-lock which is what you need. But where the "...bars stick out, and a few little round things slide up" you should have the kite mark with a BS number. Not always, but with 99% of new locks you would normally find it on there.
