was at cyb sat july 4th, noticed they were repairing the last part of track at the end of mbr trail. didnt think it was a big problem until we got on diversion. we missed out on a lot of distance and it was not very interesting. so i will not go back until they finish it.

It's been like that for about a month. The diversion is pretty rubbish when you're expecting to do the Beginning of the End and the slippy rooty bit, even if it does miss out that big climb just before!
I know trails need maintenance but I rode it not long before the works started and there wasn't much wrong with it. It was quite tricky the first few times, but with a bit of practice I could ride it all the way. I dunno if there was a landslide or something similar happened to the trail.

I rode it a couple of months ago before it was closed really worn eroded, great fun! but a bit too much for some people. I think it is being replaced as its on the shorter routes that people with a bit less experience will be on. I notice they have put anothe trail in that uses most of the newer sections of trails that are a bit smoother than the old sections that they can't get the machinery down. I just hope they don't sanitise it too much I'd rather they leave the hard bits and just put chicken runs in. I rode the Mbr and the Tarw a little while ago and the old sections which now have skull and cross bones on the markers they were fantastic for me but would be a bit of a shock to someone making the step up from the Llandegla trails

I spoke to the lady on the desk at the visitor centre today and she said they are hoping to reopen it this Saturday as long as it has bedded enough.

It has reopened this weekend ;D They have put stone slabs on the first bit and surfaced a lot of it in crushed slate - quite an easy ride now and quite smooth but it's interspersed with bits of rough old trail so don't get too used to it! Also, they have added a few jumps with runs around them for people like me ;D I didn't see them coming up but now I know they're there I will have a go next time. I don't know how you're supposed to do the uphill jump though I also noticed today that 2 of the Adams Family (Lurch and Pugsley's Bottom?) and Glide have earned themselves a skull and crossed bones. Is it FC policy to award one if a section gets somebody hospitalised? ;D

Cool, I've been waiting for them to finish this before venturing back to CYB. Might go there during the week if the weather is ok to have a look.
