With the possibility of Elisabeth coming home in a month it looks like a night ride is going to be my only constant weekly ride. Unfortunately all the people I used to ride with seem to have moved, lost thier mojo, got long term injuries, etc, etc... I know lots of stuff round Llan and the Clwyds but don't have the motivation to go out on my own . I also miss going on other peoples rides and doing something different. If I always do my routes I know what to expect. Is anyone up for doing weekly night rides and making it a regular thing? Social riding for a couple of hours ending at a pub!

Just shout if you fancy coming down this way, usually get 2 evening rides in a week, routes vary every week, will be keeping it up through the winter to

Col,
Regular night ride for us is Wednesday 18:00 meet followed by a pint/bar snack. We tend to stick to variations around LDG with a clwyds ride thrown in every 4-6wks.
Your always welcome to join us, or invite us on one of your routes. We keep it going right through the winter. Hard as nails us lot ;D
There is usually between 4 and 10 riders, all of varying ability.

We're out at Llandegla almost every Wednesday - posted up on the forum. Sometimes we swap to the Clwyds Oggy's been posting up some evening rides too. I go out riding on my own in the week as well so might come along to anything that's organised, depends how much effort it is! At the moment you need your lights after about 9:30 - perfect for riding after going to the pub. Just make sure you watch out for wet muddy bits in the woods or you end up doing a 360 on your side and coming home covered in bruises

Col, Just put a post up in the 'plan your rides' section a few days before you plan to go. With your knowledge of the local area you would not struggle to get people out. Try it, you'll be supised how many people turn up, especially after the success of June's forum ride you led. You might have to slow down a bit for us though

Wednesdays at 6pm sounds like a plan ;D If you've already got something regular it seems stupid to do something else. As well as tagging along I'd be more than happy to show you the stuff I know. Where are you meeting this week?? Oggy I will definitely be up for making the journey over your way occasionally I've not night ridden any of the natural stuff but I do have fond memories of frosty winter night rides around the Marin Trail ;D
