Went up to scotland last week for the Selkirk Merida with the family and met up with Davydonn, SiMoult & thistle to represent MBNW
Was Very glad to see the end of the event !!!!! Really struggled after halfway and felt terrible for the rest of the day???
My 2 sons had a great time at the event on their own bikes making the carpark into their own free ride park!!!!!
They also took part in the Cycleactive sessions put on by the organisers whilst the event was running
Set off towards Dumfries on the Monday and stopped about 10 miles from Dalbeatie forest.
Managed to get a passout on the friday to get round the trails
Did the red Trail which had small black sections thrown in but didnt attempt this one as i was riding alone and may have ended up with a few war wounds!!!

Towards the end of the trail there is a skills section so tried the LOG ON / LOG OFF whic ended in the latter!!!
Luckily the landing was a bit soft!!!!
The Next section Shakey jakey looked too difficult for me to risk it as a bail out was going to hurt big time !!!
Pics in sequence of me walking it over which was dangerous enough
Getting the feeling that scottish black trails Really men they are dangerous!!
Was a really good trail with planty to catch you out and could be ridden a lot faster but going in blind & alone for the first time i aired on the side of caution. Definately worth a trip if your over that way anytime ;D
The following day we went out for a visit to an activity centre which had karts & bike rides etc but wasnt expecting anything much but was really impressed with the skills centre for the kids which had some trails included aswell but my boys couldnt get enough of the Jumps!!!
Off down to the brechfa enduro next week and then on to south wales so hope to sneek in a trail centre down their aswell!!
Anyone got any good reccommendations as the Afan reports dont seem encouraging???
