Me and Roy did the mast/scree tonight straight from work and were held up all the way down to the first river crossing by birds One was flying about 8 inches off the floor of the gulley, below the height of the heather, and kept about 2-3 metres in front of my front wheel all the way. Made it really hard to concentrate and I didn't want to get the poor thing too stressed so stopped to let it fly off and was promptly joined by another one. Got to the bottom thinking there was no way Roy would believe me, and the same had happened to him.

It happened to me once, although not the whole way down! Nobody believed me when I said that was why I took so long

I love it when that happens. Especially as it doesn't happen that often. Don't worry though, they've always flown faster than I can ride so you won't get one through the spokes of your front wheel
