No. Looks about the same length as theTarw, possibly with a bit less climbing?
Going up R74 sounds interesting though!

Going up R74 sounds interesting though! It's definitely interesting mate, you'll be doing well to ride all the way up. I had to jump off and scramble up a rocky section when I did it in the Mawdach gold Rush in March. I presume it'll be the same route?

Yup its exactlly the same route, and the goldrush organisers are not to happy about it. I was talking to Forestry commision today, they are working on a new course for the gold rush and taking it up to 60km. Should be a toughie.

Weird you would of thought Somewhere nearer like Llandegla would be a better option for RUTHIN ROTARY...or some other route around the Clwyds. Not suprized Rotary responsible for the Gold Rush are not happy about the Ruthin lot stepping on their toes.

Apparently Llandegla turned them down for some political reason. I know they are really keen to push for events at Coedy now.
I organised the first round of the Dragon xc series there in 2007 through Clwb Ceffyl Haearn based in Blaenau Ffestiniog and was a huge success (still has the record entry for the Dragon xc so far) I'm currently in talks with the cordinator of the series and Forestry Comission for a round there in 2010. Prefrably the 1st round Will keep you posted as it unfolds.
