I was on the Forum ride with mtbbritain, Doug led the way so he,s the guy to ask. I was riding a Giant NRS4 at the time my fitness & skill took its toll. I would like to give it another go now I have a better bike and more confident.

The route has evolved quite a bit since that version of the route was posted. It's a cracking route but not really for beginners. Here's the GPX track of the route.

Isn t the pink hefer part of mbr? Different Pink Heifer apparently mate, there's some more info on another thread in here somewhere. Dont' quote me but i think it's a section on an old trail that isn't there any more / used any more.

The old pink heifer? With the drops and ruts? I prefered that 1. A bit more technical. U can still ride it?

The Pink Heiffer was the original route at CyB in the late 80's early 90's before there was a trail center there. the Pink Heiffer section of trail is named after this original route and replaces the Dragon Back descent on the MBR trail which used to be part of the original Pink Heiffer route.
The GPX track I put up is a route in the spirit of the original trail that has evolved over a number of years, it is no way an official trail.

The route is about the same length as the old Karrimor but can be lengthened and shortened by using more or less of the new trails. You can still use most of the old trails that they have recently replaced as long as you know where they are.
