Going to buy a new full sus bike around winter. Not decided what yet. Looking for something light and all rounder for up hills as well as down. Been looking at the Kona four. I would like an other Marin but its just the weight problem. I was thinking of a Kona Stinky but not good for up hills. Going to go for a 2008 bike, because I will get more for my money. Any ideas guys.

You can get a far better bike than a Kona for a grand. Look at Specialized bikes, you know you are buying a qulity bit of kit when you buy one. Are you looking brand new or dont u mind second hand. If not try eBay or Pinkbike, you can pick yourself up a right bargain if you patient

Specialized make nice bikes but full sus are not that cheap..

With 09 bikes coming out there will be loads of great bargains to be had...you may end up geting a £1500+ bike for around a grand if you look hard enough. I bought my last bike on a wing in Betws y Coed I am going to shop this time. I have West End Cycles down the road but there prices seem high. Been looking at Evans Cycles on line.

Its the way ahead to find the bike you want in the shops, try it on for size and either buy online or ask the shop where you tried it if they can pricematch the online prices.
