Decided it was to wet to ride this morning so did this instead. It was only a little bit drier than outside unfortunately This is right next to the pier at Llandudno. The adit runs up towards the tram station.

Wow. How far did you get? I didn't realise there was stuff like that around Colwyn Bay/Llandudno.
Does it start at sea level (so you have to get out before the tide comes in!) or is it higher up?

Oggy - No problem. Might be a trip in there next Sunday. Thistle - There's loads of big wet holes around Llandudno. Oggy can tell ya that The Orme is like a swiss cheese. Have a look at the pics here - www.goes.org.uk/This mine, The Ty Gwyn Mine, has all of the mineral veins underwater as far as we know. This was a tramming adit to the Tyn Y Fron shaft and still has sections of rail in it. It takes about 2 hours to have a walk around the mine. You don't have to get out when the tide comes in although the lower levels flood 2 hrs after high tide. Craig - It is ;D

That looks mega Dave, fair play mate. I walked around marine drive last weekend and stopped off for a bite in the rest and be thankful, they've got some great GOES articles and pictures on display in there including a picture of an underground lake at happy valley with lots of red-brick arches. I was moidering Oggy about it last night, looks an awesome place.

Dan - No locks or keys. Small metal lid you put lifting handles in like a manhole. You will need a rope though to reach the floor as access is through the roof.
Thistle - Took my light and motion HID biking lamp. First time I'd tried it underground.
