Found that when riding hard on downhills on technical sections chain will some times come off. Taken a couple of links out of the chain to try. I found on my old full suspension bike this was not a major problem. Anybody using a chain device? Don't want to be going down the single chain ring route like the down hill bikes.

Yes, i have a chain device on my Speccy Big Hit, but i am running only a single chain ring up front. I does help majorly. I wouldnt be able to ride if i didnt have one. Defo recommend looking into them, no one wants to stop half way down a trail because there chain came off.

One way to get around it when caning it downhill is to put your chain on the large ring up front and large at the rear.
Your not supposed to peddal like that because of the angle but its ok just to tension the chain on rough downhill sections to stopp chain bounce.

have you tried messing with your limit adjust screw on the front mech? Yes tried this. Still jumps around and comes off. It would be ideal to have a bit more tension in the rear mech. Was thinking of looking at this.
