My bike came fitted with Shimano LX disc brakes. I haven't got a problem with performance or set up, but I was going through brake pads at an incredible rate (x1 set every 6weeks). I had tried all different variations and makes but with no noticeable improvement. I was quizing my local bike shop about options when he suggested I try Swiss Stop Pads. Normally I had paid around £12-15 for a set and these were retailing at £20. Anyway I have been running a set for over 2 months now and there is still a good deal of life in them. Whats more the spring is more powerful and seems to promote even pad wear. Has anyone else been suffering short pad life with shimano If so I recommend trying Swiss Stop. Let me know what you think.
