I did the Snowdon Charity ride on Saturday & it was my first Roadie outing since October, I had man flu but managed the 30 miler in 2hrs, so should be okay for the 67 miler, with a few more rides in between. I was there on Saturday aswell I entered on the day as I stayed with my lad in the hospital Friday night (i had to do the ride, with it being alder hey and cancer charity's). So if you can enter on the day I wouldn't mine giving this one a go, cos I don't know how he'll be then Dan- I've tried the Deda's out. nice Just need to get the miles in now Roll on Thursday nights ;D

Im thinking about it Never done sportive before so not sure what to expect? And don't know whether to do 100 or 67 mile route Same here Dave, figured I may as well dive in at the deep end and do the longer route though. I'm just going to take it really easy for the whole ride. Reckon it's probably going to take the best part of 6hours to complete and I'm going to use it as a training ride. Might invest in some flashy (comfy) shorts beforehand though. How about some nIce whIte cannondale shorts, flash enough<?

Anyone want to take my entry on this? General consensus is that a long distance sportive is going to blunt my speed etc rather than improve my fitness so I'm going to give it a miss and head off for another Crit instead I think.
