Your doing well!!! 3 events in 4 weeks Plus a couple of timetrials as well mate. I'm going to be getting the events in this year, figure it's the best way to improve. That bloke in the black helmet looks familiar, doesn't he ride at Llandegla?

Was trying to keep it quiet with it being the darkside, but might as well come out and confess that me and mikebike are in this ride ;D

If I can twist Oggy's arm I think we might add a darkside sub-forum in the racing and competitions board, there's enough of us on here that compete on the roadies to warrant it.

And don't know whether to do 100 or 67 mile route Same here Dave, figured I may as well dive in at the deep end and do the longer route though. I'm just going to take it really easy for the whole ride. Reckon it's probably going to take the best part of 6hours to complete and I'm going to use it as a training ride. Might invest in some flashy (comfy) shorts beforehand though.

Quite looking forward to this one now. Anyone else in? Tom from Tweeks is doing it Dan. I think on his Boardman, but may crack out his Scott Addict Ltd.

Got my first ride in this year on the roadie last Saturday, a nice gentle 40 miler to the Ponderosa cafe and back. Could be tempted by this, but think the 100 miler is a bit ambitious. Mind you, I've got the Lakeland Loop next month, 117Km in the lakes, including Hardnott Pass and Wrynose Pass , so could do with the practise Will see if I can get the whole weekend off without having the kids

Sportives are a road race at the front, with the police cracking down on open road races a lot of them are using them as a substitute; at the back it's hang in or grovel.

I did the Snowdon Charity ride on Saturday & it was my first Roadie outing since October, I had man flu but managed the 30 miler in 2hrs, so should be okay for the 67 miler, with a few more rides in between.
