I'm doing the 48km distance. Really enjoyed it last year - laid back and not too busy. Is very much a XC route though - not lots of technical stuff.... but some very "sustained" climbs!
Driving down Saturday afternoon.

It's five fookin days before that you big fanny. Sorry I dont have a bottom less pit for a bank account Haaafffff! Almost choked on my cuppa then! Oggy , (for those new members info!) has to be dragged out of bike shops with his heels smokin, yes, SMOKIN in the floortiles, His fingers feverishly fiddling with his credit card, gibbering about how he's worn out the crotch of his lycra shorts, and needs another 4 sets, just in case! Oh, and look at that loverly Giant, I NEED one of them ready for next season!! I'm sure he's getting worse the more he gets sucked off into the Darkside by Dan! ;D ;D ;D

Well that was a tough event to say the least!!! Some mega climbs on energy sapping grass moorland. The weather held out for us for most of the day but to say it hammered down towards the end was an understatement. Well done to Gareth for finishing the 75k route too whilst suffering with cramp for over half the event. Sorry theres no pics but heres the rough route outline. Will be interesting to see what time Matt Page completed the course in when the results are published. Time to go and put my feet up & rehydrate ;D ;D

Day after Rough Ride, legs like lead & body feels like hit by a truck, Toughest endurance event I;ve done. Excellent XC riding , no forest road , just grass & moorland, uphill or downhill Tips for avoiding cramps welcome, thinking it might have to be quinine tbs? I;ll be back for more next year

Results are out today on the website but they are only in rider number order & dont indicate which route you took??? 45 or 75k The only people i can make a comparison too is Matt page who finished in 4hr 3mins & there was a Clee cycles/KCNC team on the front row who all finished around 4hrs 20m Thats some going considering the terrain More training required (Not that im competitive) ;D

I think is piss poor that these event organisers cannot provide the results correctly.

I think is piss poor that these event organisers cannot provide the results correctly. I think it's something to do with insurance, use of public bridleways and it not being a race.... saying that - some of the other events do, don't they?

I think it's something to do with insurance, use of public bridleways and it not being a race.... saying that - some of the other events do, don't they? Sounds about right. The 'Meridas' weren't races and you just got a list of times and numbers (it just so happened that your number reflected what distance you'd entered) Nobody ever heard the bloke on the mic telling people they were 1st or 2nd . I can't remember if the Snowdonia Enduro gave you positions or just times (most of that was just fire road but the dodgy bit might have been the bridleway). Goldrush gave positions and that was mostly MTB trail, but again part of it might have been a bridleway.
