Hello all,
I am new to mountain biking and forums in general. Since been bitten by the bug around 5 months ago and tearing around Dalby and Gisburn. My friend and I feel the beast is calling! ;D
We plan to go for two days riding and one nights accommodation.
We are fairly fit and and O.K riders. Which routes would people recommend.
Also any cheap b and b/ youth hostel that would be near a local pub for a pot or two?
Many thanks in advance.
Mike

Do the beast its still the longest and the best at 38k. Half way around there is a small house whIch has converted their kitchen into a serving hatch and they serve tea and cakes. Well worth a stop. WhIlst you are down here go and do both loops at Penmachno, thIs is an amazing trail, but dont be put off as there is no cafe or changing facilities just proper manly welsh trail. Dont go drinking in Dolgellau its just not safe and not worth it. Not sure about b n b really as I live thIs way

Excellent! I am glad the beast is recommended. I know its a bit difficult to say but on a moderate/taking in the scenery pace, how long do you think we should allow?
Thanks again

Not sure when you are thinking of coming down but the beast is shut at the moment due to forest operations. Probably worth a phone called to CYB to make sure it is open before you make the journey down. Its been closed for a while so shouldnt be closed to much longer
