Hello there everyone,
I've just been sent this site by nickster. I'm living in Chester at the moment recouperating from a fouled shoulder and looking forward to getting out and about in the next few weeks. If anyone knows of any good trails in and around Chester let me know -i've sussed out Dukes Drive and thats about all I can tell is there. Likewise if anyone fancies a blast drop me a message; happy to meet new people and ride.
Live to ride....and heal.
Jon

When we were kids we'd go to the Dingle. Its on the way to Dukes, just over the Grosvenor Bridge and is a small wooded area. Not the most exiting but probably the only off road downhill left in Chester, since they knocked the skaty down to build Pizza Hut and TK Maxx...

As soon as my shoulder gets right again i'll be looking to ride as much as possible, you wouldn't believe how annoyingly rubbish having ligament damage in your shoulder is; it's like having a stealth injury that seeks to cripple you when you least expect and want it to.
Is the Dingle the area just by Curzon Park and the weird roundabout? I've kind of got a reasonable half hour single tracky blast from my door that takes in the woods on Dukes Drive (over the weird roundabout from the Dingle) and then runs round the Dee and the Meadows and then cuts through Handbrige and along the Dee and back through the Dingle.
It's not huge but it's fairly good fun nipping inbetween the trees in the woods (kind of like the speederbike chase in Return of the Jedi) and the run round the river is good for leg turning.
If anyone knows of anything decent heading out towards or past Ecclestone let me know.
Jon
