Whats the condition of the rest of your bike? The frame in good nick? Drivetrain running smoothly? The chain, cassette and middle chainring usually need replacing after a good 12 months of use If you think theres plently of life in it yet, then it should be worth the upgrade. For around £300, i'd look at these: www.merlincycles.co.uk/?fn=product&productId=1070&categoryId=18www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=22185The Reba are easily the best forks around for that amount of money - remember to budget for a fork pump though. The Juicy 3's are cheap compared to how well they perform. I'd recommend a 185mm rotor on the front though

For the price, the Juicy 3's are good. There are obviously better brakes out there, but your looking at more than £200 a pair

Problem with secondhand forks is that anything over 12 months old will probably need a service. Rockshox Reba for example are £80+ P&P for a service at TF Tuned, so your looking at paying a maximum of £100 secondhand for them to be even worth buying
If you look around, you'll probably find a Rockshox Tora 302 for less than £100. These will be a huge improvement over your current fork (I'm guessing they're Suntour's?)

I'd agree with sikora about the Reba's. I've only got Dart 2's on mine but I'm not gonna go half way between them and the Reba's just for the sake of it. It's a "false economy". I'll put up with my sh1t forks for a bit longer the get Reba's when I've saved a bit more moolah for them.
