Nice 1 If you click on this link www.blacksheepsportsltd.co.uk/ and look for the Goldrush Excel sheets Then there are a load of names for people that went through the timing station twice and a load that went through 3 times. Both lists have times for the final lap, im trying to sort out the final postions using the final lap data only. It a rubish way of doing it as some people are better at the start of a race and some people are better at the end but at least it gives us some indication of where in the entire field we came

The third tab had some wacky times on it so I didn't use it.

Spot on, cheers. It just gives me a rough idea of where I came overall, its by no means solid just going on the third lap but its the only real indicator we have unfortunately The third tab is for the people that did it in a team all doing a lap each.

The method of using the last lap to generate placings is utter pish unfortunately girls, especially for someone like me who goes as fast as they can at the start (while fresh) then blows up somewhere on the second lap and limps home for the final lap. The only way you can really do it is to use the total race time's for everyone and add maybe 4-5mins to the times of those who missed lap scoring on the first lap to get a general idea of what was going on. I'm quite surprised I beat Matt (Revo's) in the end, only four seconds but good considering the fact he dropped me at the end of the second lap. Suppose my hell for leather first lap did the business for me this time, still need to work on pacing though, hard to know how to play it.

Your only saying that because u blow uphalf way through. There is no way of working it out but using the last lap time is the only scientific way of doing it.

Your only saying that because u blow uphalf way through. Exactly. Lots of people could be in a similar position though where they're fast at the start and slow down towards the end. Using this theory a bloke who went at snails pace for the first two laps then went hell for leather on the last lap could be the winner. Has to go on overall race time.

There is no overall race times and just adding 4 or 5 minutes is even more pie in the sky than the last method. Lets face it the there is no fair method and we are all winners
