Recognise most of the places on those pics, most within a mile or 2 of our village, especially Vale Royal locks and Vale Royal Abbey, been up past the abbey today in fact. Is pic 5 taken at Waste Lane with the gateway at the bottom of the newly installed bridleway?

You lucky boy ;D Wish I had a route like that to and from work John, too much traffic flying down the lanes for me to consider it.

Just some quick answers, Smudge - Pic 5 is Waste Lane where the new Delamere Loop bridleway leaves Whitegate Way. GazEvo - Pics4,5, +10 are Whitegate Way. N.P. - Nice route to ride home on but only do it twice a week and a shorter 11 mile version the rest of the week

Cheers for that, going to give that way a go 1 day . No mistaking the last pic of the salt mine, nice little loose stone hill coming up off there that gets the fitness up.

Um, I live in a lovely part of Wales and the 16 miles I'd do if I were to bike it would be the A548 main (death trap) road and dual carriageways along the coast from Ffynnongroyw to Deeside. You make me jealous.

John have you been down that way this week? I came down from the abbey to the locks today and there are signs up warning you of the road conditions as the bit that goes between the pond and the river has started to break awaw and slip down the bank
