Had a brilliant evening so cheers for that guys and girls, it was also great to have the old (ish) folks to look after us by doing the domestics (redkite and Tarbo can defo come again ;D) . Also a big clap for little Matthew, that wasn't a race for Kids but Sars 9yr old Son showed the adults how it was meant to be done. Well done to Matthew, that was a tough challenge with a lot of climbs for a nine year old Bit disappointed in you boys for not making your beds in the morning ;D and Craig you can stop calling me mum now Had a great weekend and a good laugh.....Thought the course was excellent, and well organised. Legs were starting to feel it by the end though. Big Well done to everyone Photos will be on as soon as Tarbo can be arsed ;D

Makes a change to get the good or bad news while your legs are still burning sign of a good event Yep excellent sysyem, you give them the timing chip back at the finish line and they gave you a print out of your postion and lap stats, very impressive. All in all a very well organized race It was run by the same people who organized the wildboar 24 hour race around the same area in 2008 that we took part in, that was run precise, you could follow your progress by the minute throughout all the 24 hours. A good set up but the 24 hour race was cancelled last year due to lack of entrants and Ive not heard about it being run this year.

Well done all, sounds like a pretty tough event.
Seems like the old Merida (now ChainReaction) series could learn a thing or two from this event regarding the timing?

Thank you for bigging up Matthew he will be well chuffed when I show him. He managed 14 miles before retiring and I think he only did cos he had an off on the section before the big final climb. He's a determined little soul who managed nearly all the enduro without actually stopping for a break! He kicks arse

Have to agree with everyone's comments on here, that was tough Lots of climbs, some downhills and more climbs But very rewarding once you'd finished ! A big well done to Gwyneth (Oldbird), maybe you can spend some of that money on a new pair of tights and get rid of those green, blue and red Ronhills you wear ;D Also a big well done to Matt. Only picked the bike up yesterday and done the 17 mile loop on it today. And to be honest, I think most people would struggle on that 17 mile loop. I'm a bit disappointed not to break 4 hours, but got a puncture on one of the singletrack climbs All I could see as I was swapping the tube was a big row of riders going past. Absolutely gutted However, not as bad as Mark, who managed to snap his rear mech after taking a tumble over a very slippy wooden bridge. One of many casualties that bridge claimed. But big respect for finishing the last 7 miles with the bike set up as a single speed. Biggest thanks of the day goes to Cherokee, you'll see why Some photos of the day. Can't take all the credit as Redkite took most of them. Accomodation OK, so we were in the 'outbuildings ;D Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum checking out the bumroom bedroom Redkite playing mum to Craig and Oggy Matt and his new bike Bry, Sar and Matt MBNW Team Colours At the finish line And my favourite picture of the day A big thanks to everyone for making this a really enjoyable weekend, and also Monster and Thistle for the loan of their MBNW tops

What a brilliant weekend! I was too tired to post my pics last night and so glad I have today off!! Can't believe we actually finished but so glad we did! I just wanted to get to the finish line before they closed the course!! lol! Did it in 4hrs 8 mins and we did stop to help a bloke out with a snapped chain and gave him my chain link! Was great to see you all on the course even if you were lapping us and I think Dan even lapped us twice!! lmao!! It was good to meet new people especially Sar and Matt, great company. Well done to everyone!! At least Julie and I were in good hands most of the way around being followed by the course sweeper closing the course and taking the signs down behind us!! Was so funny! I have to say Matt was definately "man of the match" so to speak! Well done and it was a pleasure biking with you!! Ready for the next one now!! lol!
